Filmmaker Sailesh Kolanu is back with Hindi version of his debut directorial HIT- The First Case. He says the film is not a copy-paste of original, but is fresh new re-created version with the same soul.
Sailesh Kolanu was interacting with us at the trailer launch of HIT- The First Case, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra. It is produced by T-Series and Dil Raju.
When asked about making the same movie in different language sort of takes out the fun, Sailesh Kolanu said, “We put in efforts, conscious efforts to not make it like a copy-paste. We were certain we will not make it like copy-paste version of original. I had kept my technical team the same and we made a conscious decision to present it in a fresh manner. And so we placed the film in Rajasthan.
We changed the entire visual-landscape and culture of Rajasthan is sort of spread across the film, but the soul of the film is the same. We have kept it intact; the film is my vision, and I didn’t try to copy it but re-create it”
Further, Sailesh Kolanu talked about learning few things during the original release. And also keeping that in mind, he has tried to make Hindi version a little better.
He said, “The film was my directorial debut, and when I was watching the Telugu version in an auditorium. I learned a few things about audience reactions and keeping that in mind, I have tried to make Hindi version a little better. Especially with the screenplay and the topic we are trying to touch and how to make it more relevant. And I have tried to make the investigation a lot more gripping and interesting”
The film also stars Dalip Tahhil, Milind Gunaji, Shilpa Shukla and Sanjay Narvekar. The film revolves around a police officer in the homicide intervention team. Who suffers from PTSD, and must overcome his struggles with his tragic past. And investigate a case involving a missing woman.
The thriller will release on 15th July 2022.
