Actor Harshvardhan Kapoor made his Netflix debut with AK vs AK and followed it with anthology Ray, is out with his third outing with the digital giant, and claims they are the best producers in the world.
Harshvardhan Kapoor was interacting with NewsHelpline at the trailer launch of the Netflix film Thar, written and directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary and produced by Anil and Harshvardhan Kapoor.
Talking about marking his hattrick with Netflix, actor Harshvardhan Kapoor said, “I hope that Netflix would want to work with me after this one, I have really pushed for what I wanted, we’re in a very interesting time in the world where you can make something and stream it anywhere in the world, and the ability to do that from a platform, you really cannot put a price on that because you don’t know who the film is going to touch, in which part of the world, there is a huge spectrum of people who watches Netflix, and the entire first-day collection or satellite rights and stuff are just taken away, and you can just focus on the film. Netflix is a great producer, I think they are the best, they are understanding, sympathetic, and sensitive towards the artist”
Thar is set in the 80s, it is inspired by Western noir genres, and follows a man who moves to a big town to seek a job and avenge his past. It also stars Jitendra Joshi, Akshay Oberoi, Satish Kaushik, Mukti Mohan, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles.
The film will be directly released online on Netflix on 6 May 2022.
