Legend Rajesh Khanna biopic, confirms Nikhil Dwivedi

Yesterday, on the 79th birthday eve of late actor Rajesh Khanna, producer Nikhil Dwivedi announced his biopic.

The movie will be based on Gautam Chintamani’s bestseller, ‘Dark Star: The Loneliness Of Being Rajesh Khanna’. 

The producer Nikhil Dwivedi said, “Yes, I’ve acquired the rights to Gautam Chintamani’s book, Dark Star, and I’m in talks with Farah Khan to make the film. That’s all I can say for now. And when any major development happens, I’ll be happy to share because I’m really very excited about bringing Rajesh Khanna’s story to the big screen.”

On the other hand, Farah Khan said, “Yes I have read Gautam’s book and it’s very fascinating. It’s definitely an exciting story. We are in a conversation over this but I cannot comment more.” While another one wrote, “Can’t wait.”

Both the statements are given to Hindustan Times. 

As the news was out, his fans couldn’t keep calm. One fan especially requested, “Please rope in an actor who can match his stardom.”

Rajesh Khanna had a fabulous journey in the film industry, In three years, he has delivered 17 successive super-hits from 1969-71, which also include 15 consecutive solo super-hit films.

Well, we all know how big of a fan following he has, But do you know? His many female fans wrote letters in blood to him, married his photographs and In March 1973, when he tied the knot with Dimple Kapadia his female fans went into mourning. 

Some of the memorable films of Rajesh Khanna are Kati Patang, Anand, Haathi Mere Saathi, Bawarchi, and Amar Prem. 

The actor passed away in 2012 due to cancer. In 2013, he was awarded India’s third highest civilian honor Padma Bhushan for his work in the entertainment industry.
